Some Ko4 questions....
#1 - It is my understanding that KKK upgraded the turbo shafts on some of the newer K04's in order to prevent premature failure (early neuspeed kits). does anyone have the serial range when this change was implemented? any other way to identify these "upgraded" turbos?
#2 - A shop I know of offers ceramic coating and machining of the K04, will these upgrades result in greater performance/longevity using standard K04 software?
#3 can anyone confirm that this is indeed a K04-15? (serial# is 06A 145 704 M)

That's definitely not a K04-15...
The compressor outlet nozzle is too long and is angled.
Use of any shaft larger than 4mm in a K04-15 is news to me. Fill me in if you read this and have other reliable info.
Machining of the turbine housing (outlet side) along with a thermal barrier coating (entire housing-external) can help...but the cost/benefit ratio isn't attractive for most people.
