Default SPEC clutch and LWF question...

is anyone running this set up and if so, have you experienced excessive noise from the LWF???

Default i'm thinking about getting a stage 2 clutch and LWF from SPEC, but I was told it makes too much

noise everytime you launch. If so I don't want to get that set up and I'll go with another

Default well my issues are probably due to a solid disc and LWFW

when you buy them together you get a sprung disc which should help. Southbend has a good reputation on these boards. SPEC or Southbend are good choices.

Default both my southbend clutches have been quiet on launch

I am on my second clutch... hint, launching 4K off every light will eat a clutch pretty quick. live and learn ;-)

click on the fokti link in my sig for pics of my clutch... I can't remember which was spring on mine, but 99% sure it was the clutch....

Default I just put on SPEC II and LWFW five days ago. Send me an e-mail if you want. We can talk.

So far I'm happy with it, mainly because it's quiet and feels very similar to stock. I only have 100 miles on it though, so it's still not broken in and therefore can't give an accurate review of it.

Default honest...

about 1 year... heehee... 12K or something in miles... I don't recall... there was nothing wrong with the clutch, I just beat the **** out of it... I would seriously 4K launch every stop light, and I live in the city, so that is lots of stoplights... it gets really addictive... heehee... eddie @ southbend didn't think it was possible, but we (my mechanic, myself, and eddie) all looked at it and found nothing wrong with it aside from constant abuse by myself.

Oh, and I autox alot... so that doesn't help either. it is tough, but to be competitve, other things gotta give, and clutch and tranny wear and tear are excepted evils in my mind.

I drive much nicer now... kinda.

Default I have some chatter from just my spec stage 2/3 clutch.

I'm wondering if it's the same kind of sound and whether that is normal. Would you mind if I checked out the chatter sometime?
