Default STFA'd, no luck. Anyone with info/email to someone with info, regarding A/FC connections.....

I can't seem to get the rpm signal to correctly work with the afc. Tried using coil pack signals & engine rpm sensor signals, & changing # of cylinders in afc too. Who's done this, & how'd you hook up the rpm? Everything else is working, aside from that & I haven't hooked up the MAF wires yet(ran out of time from messing with the rpm....).

On the 12v the MAF was tapped, cam position sensor tapped, TPS, and power/gnd. Can also hook into the O2 signal for an A/F reading at that point. I remember we had problems with the rpm portion of the S-AFC, and messed with the # of cyl until it was right. We hooked everything up first, then messed with settings. Beyond that, I can't really help. Too long ago, different engine, etc.

Default Just found some answers, thanks to everyone who was involved.....

I got passed on through about 5-6 different companies, including A'pex themselves. Finally got ahold of Charles at Autolink(no idea what state....), and he informed me he used the ground pulse from an injector circuit. He went on to say that due to decel operation, the tach function of the afc will blank out during decel due to injector cut off, but the car tuned fine.

I intend on checking the coil pack signals, from the power output stage. Failing that, I'll be using the injector gnd pulse.

If anyone has any other suggestions, please post!

Default for my split second unit, I used the cam position sensor....

and set it up as a 1 cyl.

Works great.

I think that may be what we did on the 12v...It was either 1 or 3, just can't remember.

Default just an update if people search later on

we did end up using the injector gnd, s-afc set at 1 cyl, at idle it shows like 1500-1600rpm, which is wierd, but at cruising RPMs it registers fine
