Stock exhaust with no cat?

Stock exhaust with no cat?
My 1.8T is bone stock and I want to replace the catalytic coverter with a bypass pipe or a fake cat. I was wondering will it help to free the turbo a little bit? Also will I able to gain a little free flow on the stock exhaust?
