Default NO way a monobloc would flex more than 2 seperate pieces of metal bolted together...

How do you figure a solid chunk of material flexing more than 2 seperate pieces????
The only reason "race" cars have 2 piece , is that 1 piece hasn't been widely implemented yet. It's a new technology

If the R8 used brembos and those didn't melt.. how could that happen with your example

Default I'm not sure I follow.

They're designed to provide ideal stopping distances while using the stock real brake setup.

What am I missing Scott?

They are designed to not over-tax the master cylinder. Meaning they just run appropriate sized caliper pistons to stay within the operating pressures and such of the factory system.

You too can do the same thing by not buying overly large calipers with 6-8 pistons.

Brembo/Porsche 993C2 calipers work well with the factory brake MC, as do 986/986S monoblocs. Its all about piston size ;-)

Default The piston size was selected, but they still need an adapter bracket. Sorry about the attitude

I didn't mean to come across so strong. I think that the promotional verbage should say "selected for".
