Theoretical best fit? Turbo experts opinions invited
If someone was trying to get 50 or so lbs of air from a turbo where the turbo pressure ratio was around 2.1 and wanted some effeciency in the fat spot of 20-30lbs boost - 4000-6500 rpm.
Heres the question
Do the turbo experts out there think a big GT30, a small GT35 or even a tiny GT40 would work with 2 litres built to the hilt to pump the turbine with? I have cruised some sites, have an idea of how to read a map and plot critical points, but the different gyrations of the Garretts have me stumped. I like the BB turbos. I have no intentions of changing at this point but would like someone to point me in a general direction.
TIA

my friend bill has a 65lb wheel on his talon....
he was getting around 50lb/min at 5K-5500 at at 25psi when it was a stock 2.0L, and now that he has the 2.4L stroker in, he's getting the same flow at 17psi and at 4K RPM. This is all on a GT14 turbo.
Flowing 50lb/min at that pressure is going to take a while to kick in even at 2L. The power is like an on/off switch.

What RPM should the turbo kick in? It feels kinda jerky to me, but then I've never owned a turbo bef
