Default Is there an alternative fuel injector to use for..........

20V cars? Hitachi is the OEM part for these cars and the failure rate and replacement costs are obscene. Is there an alternative to these pieces of crap? Did Bosch ever make
alternative aftermarket replacements? If not, is their a Japanese car that uses the same type of injector? There
were always rumors floating around that either Honda or Nissan made use of the same injector, anybody hear
the same thing?

Do a search for RC injectors, they should know.

Default whoa before bombing Japan, are you sure Hitachi made your injectors?

Because I've never come accross Hitachi FI's. Most OEM injectors are supplied by Bosch and Nippondenso, some Lucas. And I don't think Audi talks with ND.

Default Re: Do a search for RC injectors, they should know.

RC Engineering and Marren Motorsports can most likely help out for a solution to the "Hitachi Problem"...

I emailed MMS around 2 years ago about new injectors for the 7A code engine, they said sure, if you replace the fuel rail too. Fuel rail material is around $20/ft, plus fittings. I think the problem arose from the Hitachi fittings at the rail? Can't remember...
