No. They can withstand higher temps&pressures and look much nicer.

Default and they will quiet down under-hood induction sounds. Thats the first thing...

I noticed when I replaced all three of my boost hoses w/Samco Sport. They are noticeably thicker and Nomex/polyesther reinforced. Almost 2.5 times thicker than stock Audi rubber boost hoses.

But zero power/torque increase

Default Over time the stock hoses can get brittle and fail due to the high heat....

Plus the stock hoses may balloon under the higher boost pressures on a chipped ECU.
