Default Call TJMMOTORSPORT

Tim has/can get fully rebuilt by Kluge and not that expensive given how rare they are. I would suggest a late model 96 or later URs4 as they are close but not dead center to the rs2.

These can be found by searching the net and looking for Audi wrecking yards in England or Germany. But in either case they will cost you over 2-2.5k$ for a rs2 w/little guarantee or 1500$ for the Euro 6sp s4. The s4 5 speeds can be obtained in the US wrecking yards and would be a really good choice for an a4 upgrade up to abt 400hp. After that its up to the rs2 or the late euro 6sp to handle up to about 700 hp then I guess you get a dog box. Anyway if you want one that is guaranteed and rebuilt by the master Kluge then cal 604-229-0494. Ramdy or Tim or Malcomb can help. Tim has experiencce with both the euro 6 sp and the rs2 in my cars and can give you the mechanical details.

Default I think he's looking for a less expensive source. We've discussed TJM, as a source, in the PacNW

Forum.
IIRC TJM has a fairly substantial 'uplift' from what I paid Hans for mine.

Default I posted 2 other alt. and guided him to corr. sources, the 5sp URS4 is an xcellent alt, 4 abt 6-700$

And if you arent running 300hp you dont need a diff tranny anyway. Also the new s4 6 sp is almost as good as the rs2. The real deal in it all is the 96 and up Euro 6 sp out of an s2 or URS4. I dont have any probs with TJM's prices as you always seem to get a higher level of product. And I have had too many instances of buying mediocre product from others, espeecially when I was doing the 5cyl turbos, which by the way are going to be re-introduced by Audi. Also, wasnt it years ago when you bought yours from DB? They get rarer by the year, was yours fully rebuilt by Kluge. I didnt think the price was bad at all.

Default yeah, i think TJM is going to be my best option.

i'll be way over 300hp and don't want a 5spd. I think the RS2 tranny built by Kluge is going to do the trick

Default I thought (and think) the price on mine was just fine :)

I realize they are getting rarer by the year .. The dollar is getting weaker by the day too.
Mine was rebuilt. I paid Hans right around 2200 for it. Add on sea frt, duty, and inland freight and it was closer to 2500 delivered. I also bought the RS2 shifter, a set of the Euro mounts and a ring and pinion set so the grand total was a bit higher.
I tried to look at current TJM pricing but their site is all screwed up. Many of the links take you to an empty check out cart. Memory says the last time I looked a box was in the 5000 neighborhood?
