Best runs of the day for these peoples cars. One car was chip only 100octane program 6 speed and the other a chip (regular program)only Tip.
,,6 speed,,,,,,,,,Tip
60',,,,1.926,,,,,2.079
330',,,5.631,,,,,5.891
1/8,,,,8.746,,,,,9.058
mph,,,79.63,,,,,,78.42
1/4,,,13.641,,,,,14.063
mph,,,100.50,,,,,,98.49

FYI: the 6speed had the AP22 meter running also and was within .05 of the 1/4 time. That meter showed the 0-60mph to be 5.07 seconds!!!!

Thought I would post em for comparison.

Default So does that mean my car is doing the 0-60 in 5.1, since my time was just about the same as his

all the way down the track.

No, you need to shift into 3rd before 60

Default No, time to distance and time to speed are 2 totally different things

S4s don't have to shift into 3rd gear to reach 60. A4s have to shift into 3rd. That shift will delay the 0 - 60 time.

Default ?if he has the same time at 330 and at 1/8 as the 6speed,

Doesn't that imply he reached 60 mph just as fast?

Default But that does not mean my car is slower. I just get to the point of have to shift sooner.

What we need to know is what rpm he shifts at. But my time slip is just the same as his.

Default I'm not saying you're slower.. Just a higher 0 - 60 time

Time to distance determines who's quicker, not time to speed.

You would be right if he shifted to 3rd early. But most s4 guys shift after 60.

Default Well I can shift after 60 too. But why would I do that. What I was trying to say is if I reach

the end of 3rd gear faster then he reachs the same mph by the time I shift we both reach 60 mph at the same time. But I guess I will need to get a G-tech now too.

Default Get the AP22, more expensive, but you can do more with it

I have a gtech, and after trying it out I wished I hadn't bothered, it's total crap.

The AP-22 does alot more for you, has better accuracy, better precision, a better calculation algorithm accounting for "squat" and aerodynamic drag, AND you can download from it.

Comparison of features

That is what the guy in the A6 was using that ran the same time I did at the track.
