Dont know how they work but we did clutch 3 times in 2 days because what they sent didnt fit!
So I wouldnt touch the company with a 50 foot stick. They kept sending replacements, but it nearly broke my back doing all those changes in the time period I had to get it done. I was just lucky the Sachs was sitting around waiting on another car.
I ended up using a 2500$ Sachs racing, and it is holding 550 crank with no problems and holds 6000rpm launches and is daily driven. Pricey, but it is best I have used even on the V8's I used to play with - good blend of driveability and holding power. I am now on 2nd one in 2 diff cars, urs4 1st then the a4. Very hi quality pieces and no limits I can touch yet.

I didn't use a Spec setup, they simply machined mine down a bit and sold me some new Sachs disks.
That part was okay, but I had to ask for my old Audisport disks back.
The problem is their customer service. No return calls and very slow. They charged me for 2nd day shipping and said a quick turnaround within a week so I 2nd dayed my bad clutch to them. Actual time was over 2 months and they shipped ground.
BTW< everyone else I know who ordered a Sach's clutch for their Audi got the wrong thing the first time around.

Strange...
I had a Spec stage 3 clutch on my car about 2 years ago and had zero problems with it... Everything went smoothly the first time around and I received great customer service. Its sad to hear the company has gone downhill recently as I really did like their product.

Yeah, I had to choice. I already had the 2 disk racing setup and I was told Sachs had disks. To be totally safe, I sent them my flywheel and the entire clutch assembly so they could test fit everything.
Without calling me, they machined done my flywheel.
I had to drop the tranny twice to get the setup to work. Also had to machine a longer clutch slave throwout pin and a delrin spacer for the throwout bearing.
THe only good thing is the new disks are awesome (Sachs C1 200mm 4 pucks) and the clutch will hold something like 650 ft-lbs. Replacement C1s are not that hard to find.

http://www.bufkinengineering.com/rebuiltclutch.htm</a
