Tune at home, or send it in?
Hey all,
Did a bit of research across the forum and the web and couldn't seem to find the answer (or a good answer). But curious if you have any ideas or recommendations for chipping an ECU at home.
Have a 2000 TT 180, stock setup (with the k03 turbo), and from what I understand, the best initial gains (without some serious hardware) are made from flashing the ECU. I've looked into a couple companies (APR, GIAC, Unitronic, etc.) and would love to do one of their tunes, but unfortunately live in a part of the states that the nearest one is a 8 hr drive.
Any ideas on kits that you can "DIY tune", or even ship the ECU to someone to tune? If so, who do you recommend.
Thanks guys!
