Iam going to say thats false.
I would expect you to know this coming from 2 k04s under the hood. They can easily be heard if you are listening.
You can hear the turbo spooling even when the car is bone stock.
Its the dentist drill that you want to stay away from.

Well my 1st set of K03's didn't "dentist drill" and they were bad. The next set of K03's that were..
installed were actually louder and they are fine. The new K04's are quieter even with the downpipes. So don't expect the dentist drill as a diagnostic rule. I was simply saying, trying to make the turbo's louder for the sake of sound would generally be a questionable goal. New downpipes or piggies might increase the turbo spooling sound he is looking for and a nice performance mod.
