Update: Car is now in the shop getting the Euroclass KO4 beserk kit installed
Final kit is as follows:
KO4-15 turbo
330cc injectors
4 bar(stock) FPR
No change to the MAF
New GIAC Software
Peak boost is estimated to be 1.5/1.6 bar.
Will report more when I pick up the car - hopefully tommorow all going well.
Booked in for a Dyno at AVO for next Friday (same place that dyno'd my car about 3 months ago with a 2.5" cat back exhaust, PWR FMIC and GIAC KO3 beserk software). Car put down 116.3kw at the wheels with this setup at peak boost of 1.3 bar.
New setup is now 3" turbo back exhaust with the aforementioned KO4 upgrade (plus the ECS UDP & PWR oil cooler). Its going to be an interesting comparison...
Any guesse's what the kit will out down at the wheels?

I wish it would make 170kw at the wheels! But there is too much drivetrain loss with the Quattro. 170 at the wheels would be at least 221KW at the flyweel assuming a conservative 30% DT loss. No way a KO4 can flow that.
Although the KO4 is a slightly (and only just) larger turbo than the KO3 - its still restricted by the amount of air it can flow and cant flow enough air to make that much power.
This will be a nice kit - but its not in the same league as the GT25 or T28 kit.

Fine...then maybe 140kw =) YEAH!
the piont about the upgrade is not to chase the kw factor but the drive, the seat of the pants acceleration, the corners.
Only show cars chase the kw number (even though you car is beyond showroom standards) its the torque curve, the drivability, the rush through the gears, the slingshot out of the corners at you fav race track...these are the things you want to chase.
Have no doubt you will be happy with the kit.
Just remember to come back to the forum after you get bored with the extra power (if thats possible, you have to come back home eventually) so you can tell us how good the mods are.
