Default Update on my 1991 100

Some good news.

Thanks goes out again to Audiboy. Showed him the diagram and believe it or not, they did run the test and they DID replace (what I thought was...) the failing O2 sensor.

So I'm gonna run DEQ again tomorrow, same conditions. Warm it up for about 30 mins and then go and try and pass.

Either way, thanks for the help in the next step in getting my old car up to snuff. :-)

Default Wow, that's a big improvement on the CO. Damn critter has a big effect on it. Congrats!

Now go tweak the timing to get 10more horsies since you know it can run slightly rich when at wide open throttle - i.e. open loop, no O2 influence hehe.

That NOx limit is cutting it close, but it's probably due to the cat building up a lot of crud when it was running ****ty. It should go lower over time.

Default Re: MY AUDI PASSED DEQ!!

Who knew that the CIS-E was that sensitive to a very dead O2!?! Well good to know you got it to pass...

Now I don't have to spend money on an ECU so I can focus on getting my new A4. :-)
