Update on oil/water temps in new A6
My wife just got home from her 20 minute commute (in the snow) and the oil temp is damn near 250 while the water temp is firmly set on the hash mark to the right of 12 o'clock.
THIS SUCKS!!!

Steve F. does a good job finding you a car but...
I had to bring my A4 in for service 3 times before they fixed the oil leak. My boss had to bring his A6t in 4 times and had to replace all tires/wheels before the care was safe to drive again. Hummmmm. Don't get me wrong, I love my A4 but I can't help thinking that Audi ... It's like writing a great report and forgetting to spell check it.

Sounds too hot to me...
Here's just a guess:
The second fan (the electric one not the one driven by the belt) isn't turning on, either because the temp sensor is hosed or the fan is.
Or, the belt dirven fan is messed up, it actually has a clutch and it free-wheels until some bi-metalic strip in the housing (un)bends. I was suprised to lean that this was how it works, but it's true.
Anyway, you come into the garrage that hot, and I'd expect both to be spinning. If not...
