OK listees:
My wife's Jetta has 55k on it right now. It is recommended that you swap out the tranny fluid on the machine, but the problem is that the new auto trans they have have no dipstick, and according to Haynes, you have to refill the oil with a special tool (?) and use the VAG Tool to determine when you have the right level.
Has anyone changed the tranny oil in these newer "sealed for life (death?) trannies?

Per my service advisor, this IS the case with the Tiptronic
Tiptronics are "sealed" (no dipstick), and if a refill is necessary a VAG tool is required to get the proper fluid level.

I thought he also mentioned that there was some timing involved
Like from a given starting temp it has to reach a certain temp within a certain timeframe. Takes too long and it's overfilled. Happens too quick and it's underfilled.
But he told me this so long ago I could be mistaken.
