I want more power out of my 95 A6, but I don't want to spend a fortune. Can someone give me some tips?

Default Do the intake and exhaust, a chip won't add much....

You might want to give Vortrag a call, or TDL Racing.

Default Ideas

Cone - $100
Throttle body - $300 (or free if you do it yourself)
Catback exhaust - $300-500 custom job

should get your car more responsive

from there you could get High flow cats, Cams, etc

Default Hmm..

Other than the cone, and maybe the throttle body, its not extremely easy to do yourself.

Cone I did in an hour, its pretty simple. Take box out, put clamp in.. all set.

Throttle body, the trick is getting to it. You have to unplug a number of hoses in order to reach, after that its swapping one in for the other.

You could always go to a shop and get them installed, probably two hours labor or so.

Default You just gave me an idea if I were a car manufacturer....

If I had a turbo line of cars, I would place the ECU (with chip inside) inside the bell housing next to the clutch. The Air box will be an easy mod, the Exhaust will come off with a minimum of eight bolts. The turbo will be placed just like the S4. Therefore, modding will really take an exponential level of sweat, but each one would be worth it ;P

Oh yeah, on the NA car, the ECU chip will be placed on the glove compartment. And the NOS switch will be under the passenger seat ;P
