Water injection vs FMIC
I am considering purchasing a FMIC for my 01 a4. I was going to go with the racetc zflow if they rerelease it, but I have been reading many favorable things regarding WI. I live in Las VEgas and typically see 100+ degree weather in the summers. Would water injection be more favorable for this type of weather? During the winter, temps. are commonly in the 40's so there is little need for better cooling.
Should I go with WI and stock SMIC or a dedicated FMIC and no WI...Discuss.

both, but if only one...........
i'd go with the FMIC first. IMO, WI is just like a bandaid for poor air quality due to high heat. I'd rather start by fixing the problem with a better intercooler.

agreed, WI is not a bad thing....
but where as you're only getting an increase when you hit spec boost, the FMIC is going to be more efficient at cooling air 99% of the time

Both preferably but....
If you want a "install and done" solution, get the fmic. If you're willing to tweak timing/AF via lemmiwinks, WI has better potential for power because of detonation suppression.
I'm running an aquamist 1S kit with the stock smic. Currently running Wild 100 software -1.5 degrees of timing. I'm getting close to zero correction on pump gas.
