Were to get parts
I have just bought a 2004 audi A4 1.8t quattro 6spd
with 96k
I want to do a full service and while at it maybe put in
high performance parts
what do you guys recommend and were is the best price to buy it all from
I know I will be doing
timing belt, water pump, thermo stat, plugs, coil packs as oil has
leaked into old ones from bad gasket
I think I need a clutch due to the fact the it will only go into firts gear when it is stop, all other gears work great
Thank you for all advice

Congrats on your new purchase! Here are some prices for you for the OEM Audi parts.
cam belt kit with belt, tensioner, and roller for 153.75
belt tensioning damper 106.50
reman water pump 63.75 plus a core charge
thermostat is 97.50, it's a stat and housing assembly
spark plugs at 12.00 ea
coil packs at 15.75 ea
I'd need your vin# to verify all the parts, which should be for an AMB engine. Any questions please ask us. Thank you, Jeff.

No the car itself doesn't let you go back into first unless you are just rolling no more than 5 mph because if you did go back in at 10-15 the rpms will go pass 3-4000 it may cause you to lose control. You will know when you got a bad clutch, it will be hard to get it to disengage and wont grab correctly.
