Wetterauer 1.0 bar Chip vs. APR 1.0 bar chip for A4 1.8TQ
I am having trouble deciding which of these two chip companies has a better product and/or price(if they are the same quality). I understand that the feedback I get will be slightly biased, because people with APR chips will say, YEA APR! And people with Wetterauer chips will say, YEA WETTERAUER! but whatever, I don't want to get a chip from one and wish I got from the other. Facts are what I need here. Thanks.

The bottom line is, you'll be happy with whatever you get...
from GIAC, APR, or Wett.
One suggestion is to go with whoever has a closer dealer, in case there is a problem.
Another is to figure out your future upgrades, since you can get some money back, depending on what chip you buy.
If you want to go K04, consider the GIAC, if you want to go APR Stage III, then consider the APR chip.

if you say so...but people have run the same 1/4 mile times of 13.4 and 13.5 sec in
both APR stage 3 adn PES/GIAC T-28 kits on 93 octane. It seems like the kits have similar power and maybe there were some issues with yours. I am saying this based purely on the information I have, you obviously have the first had experience in the matter. I admit quarter mile times don't compare power as well as doing some rolling start in gear runs. Too bad no one has done that yet.
