Default what is the best 1/4 mile time for a chip only?

went to TAD again yesterday and ran a 15.2 with a 2.1x 60'. It was about 70 or so degrees out and was prety dry too. I think I can drop at least a tenth or two if I drop the 60' or if this weather will come in(cold front, in Tx) or if I strip out the car.

Just wanted to know what my "Target" time is?

Default You have about 6 tenths that can come off just by doing this...

Your 60' time needs some work. I have finally mustarded up a 1.8 60' routine. Every 1/10th of a second from you 60' time will equate about 2/10ths off your final time. Also, when do you shift. I shift 1->2nd at 6K, 2nd->3rd at 5900K, 3rd->4th at 5500.

The one thing that people don't realize is that you need to use the cars torque to pull you to the better times. If I try and redline every gear then I will end up in 3rd at 97mph. If I do as previously explained I can turn 105. Big difference! Every car, every driver, every condition is different, but hopefully some of this will help you.

Wow, you shift that low? I usually shift 6600,6500 for my shifts down the 1320.

Default That's right for an APR chip...

I used a G-Tech to measure G's in each gear under full throttle, and at the speeds you're shifting from 3-4 at, 3rd pulls more G's than 4th until about 6500rpm in 3rd. For the 2-3 shift, it's so close to redline, it's hard to measure where 3rd starts to pull more g's than 2nd does, and for the 1-2 shift, nowhere in 2nd gear pulls even close to as many G's as even nearly 7000rpm in 1st does.

Default I used the G tech too :)...............

every time you could watch the Gs begin to fall, I think I shift from 3rd at .28 G, down from .35. I don't think that I have seen it dip into the .3s in 4th, just mid .2s. 1st and 2nd are so quick that usually I don't have time to register that the G tech is there I think 1st is .55-.6 or so on the stock suspensio. Nasa can probably see my Xenons from outer space :P New springs this weekend should help to fix it.
