What chip would be the best for a 97 A4 1.8T?

its a tossup between apr and giac...more
i went with apr cause i got in on a group buy and the consensus seems to be that the apr chip is smoother. giac is supposed to have a bit more punch, but not as smooth. i havent had a single problem with my apr, in fact it seems to have fixed a misfiring problem my engine used to have. anyways, both have good reputations, both performance and customer service, so its really up to you and whats most convenient. good luck!
