Default What do you use for Tranny fluid and Differential Fluid?

I am considering changing my fluid to Redline.

Where is the best/cheapest place to buy?

Default yeah? I am having issues with my 2nd gear syncro...

(on my second tranny) ... and I am grinding unless I am perfectly matched... so I am gonna do a mix of redline fluids to make it thicker...

you using neo? any tips? thoughts?

know anything about BG Syncro Shift? I know the DSM kids use it, and they have brass syncros too...

Default I've heard good things about the BG but I've not tried it. I really like the NEO. I went to it from

Redline. I find it makes the box shift better .. especially when everything is cold. Pricey stuff tho

Default I am going to do a mix

of shockproof and regular for now, to see if that makes a difference... I have a track event in early sept, so I need to try something...

but I may try the neo... where are you again? does it get REALLY cold there?

Default I'm ..

in the PacNW. It doesn't normally get really cold down here next to Puget Sound but this year it was well below zero a few times. It certainly is better in what cold weather we do get than either the OEM and the Redline I've used tho ...

Default gotcha... I knew that

you lived up there...

My concern is the redline at chicago winter temps, the car is in a garage at night, but in a lot during the day. It can get pretty cold here.

the freeze thaw cycle and its wear on the fluid worries me.

I may give the NEO a try after the redline.

thanks for you input.
