What effect do spacers have on a wheel?(more)
Movits big brake kit requires 10mm spacers for stock 16" wheels is this a problem for street driving and/or track driving?

Thoughts...
I have 4.xxx mm, 5mm, 6.3mm, 8mm and 10mm spacers.
Some of these are loose, some bolt on to the back of my Fikses. If you change wheels a lot, loose spacers are a hassle. Not that big a deal, but kind of a nuisance. If you want to run the larger spacers (8mm+), I'm not comfortable running them without having them bolted to the wheel (which is going to be a pain in the a** on stock wheels). At this range, your wheel is no longer (or hardly) resting on the hub and is relying solely on the wheel bolts for the connection to the car.

I have run 10mm, street /track no problem...I would suggest converting your hubs
to studs, makes life alot easier. I think you should convert to studs even without spacers, safer and much cheaper to wear out then the threaded hubs. I change my tires alot.

Don't you have hubcentric spacers?...
I had H&R spacers on the rear of my Z3. They have a notch (like the wheel bore) that the lip on the hub fits into. Likewise, the spacer has a lip that slips into the bore of the wheel. It's an exact extension of the hub.

Hmm, even if you feel comfortable with that large a spacer, now you've got offset problems
That means you're working offset is now about ET25. Methinks you're going to be awfully close to the fender with your tires.
Incidentally, to CraigB's point, H&R spacers above 8mm are hubcentric (I think the next size up for the A4/S4 are 15mm). Though that's still not a lot of material to hang a wheel off of. If you're seriously looking at spacers that big, I'd do the stud conversion first.
