What is the maximum safe EGT for a pre-turbo mounted sensor? Post turbo?

Depends on which turbo and who you talk to.
Triple K recommends 950°C as the maximum safe pre-turbine (operating) temp.
This figure was lowered to 875°C (Neuspeed) after numerous reports of K04 failures (mostly due to turbine shaft droop/lack of sufficient cool down).<ul><li><a href="http://www.clubb5.com/information/ko4.shtml">K04 EGT info.</a></li></ul>
