what's the best chip for a daily driver
#5
APR would be a good bet..........
Although I take it you're from the States, in the UK Revo do a toggle switch which allows you to go between stock and chip programs, which maybe good for you. Now considering APR are sueing Revo for stealing their technology/software it would seem APR must have this switching available either now or in the future.
Other than that they are all pretty much of a muchness, choose someone that's local is the best rule.

Personal preference,...
I've tried a TAP chip, a Wetterauer chip, a Neuspeed chip, a Garrett Chip on the A4. Most people end up going APR/GIAC and I'm sure it's a good bet. But just make sure that the chip you end up buying is not overly aggressive - ie. not claiming it's the best because max boost is at 1.2 bar or anything silly like that. IMO, a safe chip as the first mod should run you no more than 1 bar (14.7 psi) of boost. The Neuspeed one I had was very conservative with a raing of 0.8 psi of max boost.
But you'll be pretty happy with the chip mod! It is the must "MOD" if there ever is such a thing. Performance/$ can't be beat!
Cheers!,
