Default When are we gonna get parts like this for our 1.8t's?

Audi has had the 1.8t in their cars for about 3 more years than VW, but the VW's already have a ton of more options. Are we ever gonna see new parts like the VW guys can get like turbo inlet pipes and 3" downpipes , or is there just not enough demand? The Golf's and Jettas are getting close to low 14's with chip/exhaust while we are barely breaking into the very high 14's. I know they have a 200+ lb weight advantadge but we should be able to get close. Are any companies gonna be releasing new products like this soon

Default There is always the upcoming 8vturbo kits...

I think that the reason that there has been a lack of aftermarket stuff for the Audi 1.8t is because nobody thinks that there is a demand for the stuff. Maybe you and I would buy stuff like that, but lots of people don't want to turn their Audi's in to rockets. It is kinda a shame too. It has all the coolest stuff too, AWD, turbo... There is always APR. There stuff is expensive, but it kinda gives you that quality reassurance that somebody might want when buying aftermarket for an Audi. Personally, I'm with you. I want to see a huge, no wait, HUGE market for the Audi 1.8t. It's coming around though, slowly but surely.

Default Excellent point about smaller markets.....

The A4 1.8T is an entry level luxury car meant as an alternative (cheaper too) to the 325i, S60, C230, etc. The GTI's, and the Jetta 1.8T's are marketed, and purchased, as performance cars. Keep in mind that the people who purchase the GTI's and Jetta's are young kids, who are interested in mods. Most A4 owners are not from this market base, nor are they interested in modding their cars.

I spoke to a friend who works over at AutoThority's marketing dept, and he said sales in Audi items have been really slow, and VW products are the hottest right now.

Default What? We have all of those parts readily available...

Just take a gander at APR, etc. If you mean NOPI doesn't carry six colors of light kits for the ****, sure. The A4 is a big fat pig and weights a lot more than 200lbs than either of those car (minus amps). You can readily get the A4 into the numbers: pull the AC, 400lbs of insulation, kkk03 with a 3" straight flow, bigger intercooler, etc. The basic problem is the car is a safe tourer, not a racer.
