where do turbos cut into exhaust? after all headers are combined?

Default where do turbos cut into exhaust? after all headers are combined?

Default yep

although I don't quite look at a turbo as cutting into the exhaust.

All the exhaust flows into the turbo, with the exception of the wastegate, which bypasses the exhaust around the turbo in order to control the turbo boost pressure.
