Who all swapped the 2.8 Transmission into the 1.8T
What all is there to be concerned about in finding the right donor car? Is it all bolt in or is there some custom work that needs to be done. Is the transmssion any different, or is it just gearing. Anyone have the gear ratios handy? Seems like I should lose some off the line, but really gain top end, correct? What is the new top end?

Any 2.8 V6 A4 trans will work
The transmission is identical, just has different gears. It's a 100% bolt-in.
I think the taller gears in 1st and 2nd are better, and IMHO, 1st needs to be even taller, but there's not much that can be done about that.
