Who has a blow-by oil catch can? Pics of your setup? How much oil does it collect / how often?
I'm thinking of adding one on my S4 as I've felt oil in the Y-Pipe. Shortly I'm going to replace my IC's, so I feel it's probably a good idea to add one now, as to avoid as much oil into the new ICs as possible.
Please tell me all you know about this setup, do's/don'ts, pics, etc.
Thanks

I have the Greddy one... very nice, but....
It's on a A4 1.8t
got a question... on the catch can, it comes w/ clear hoses w/ the white mesh reiforcment. The hoses got very dirty from the oil blow by.. is this normal? It also gets filled about1/3 by each oil change interval. I've seen some other cars w/ teh catch can and clear hoses, and they are still clean. Wierd. Aybody here install one on a DBW 1.8t? i need to pick ur brain.

I have it on the ATW motor (DBW). My hoses are not clear but I do get oil residue on the outer lip of the filter. 1/3 sounds about right.

I drilled 6-8 1/8 inch holes...>>>
Around the circumfence of the filter inside the assembly. Around the lower edge, for a little less restrictive flow of air lest the internal filter get oilsoaked.......
