Default Who's got a fully tuned 2.0T ?

Anyone on this forum has a fully tuned 2.0T (whether the block is from ESS or custom) - I know a couple of members are close to be done with theirs.

What are the hp/lb-ft obtained at what PSI and gas ?

The only info I have is 417hp from Momentum in their Golf !

Thanks

Default I have a 2.0 but it only has a K04 on it

not even fully tuned since I am running a standard GIAC K04 chip for it and made around 240 hp on 91 octane and 18psi.

I am working on putting a big turbo on soon, when that is done I will post some hp #'s again.

Default It's not fully tuned, but if you trust any of those 1/4 mile HP calculators....

Using 3450 lbs as the weight (car was full street trim, nothing removed, plus me)

The 13.943 time is 252 hp
The 104.27mph is 305 hp

I slipped the clutch on the launch badly (2.1 60ft) Like I said, full street trim, with 94 octane gas, 15 psi boost, and severely lean through the traps (7000 RPM, 3rd gear). Temps were in the 40's.

FWIW, I don't trust most of these calculators, I tried a bunch of web-based ones, and these are the lowest numbers I could come up with, some were estimating 50hp more.

Anyways, I'll be limited by the injectors (440cc/m) to probably no more than 350hp when fully tuned, which I'm guessing is around 18-19psi or so. Larger injectors will happen later on, first things first though.

Default John, when you use the calcs out there you do know they are for fwd/rwd

giving crank hp. You will have to add another 10% to get your correct crank hp for AWD. What I dont like about most calcs I find is that they dont include the 60 ft time which is very important to getting hp for the ET.

Default Well, I doubt I'm making 300+ hp......

As much as I would like to say I am, I just can't make myself believe that my car in a hacked-up state of tune is making that much power.
It's possible it is, but I can't prove it.

Default Which part are you talking about?

60 ft times will change your ET which will also change your hp reading on a hp calc.

A car runs 13 flat with a 2.1 60 ft on run 1 and 12.8 with a 1.8 60 ft. Now a calc this will show differnt hp if it does not include a 60 ft with it.

Now if it was about the awd vs fwd/rwd, the calc gives you crank hp unless it says "wheel hp" on it. This means you will have to add another 10% to a calc read out if your running AWD.

Default Well you might be close. Your 60 ft was not all that great

off by .2 and your mph is going to go up a bit because of the slower ET. But I still think your very close to 300-320 hp as it is. I have a new computer since my other one died and dont have my calc on this one yet.

Default well duh. like i wrote, 60' is more about other parts of the drivetrain than the powerplant

of all people you should know. make your own calculator or forget the additional 10%

Default First off the calcs out there are giving you hp readings for the crank

and a fwd/rwd car is only losing 12-15% so that is why you add the 10% on top of what they show. The calc I had a choice between fwd and rwd and when you change the setting between those 2 with all the rest of the numbers in the ET hp would change since the rwd has a lower drive line loss over a fwd.
