Default Will 1999 2.8 "Neuspeed race springs/bilstein sports shock" combo fit on my 2001.5 1.8T? (x-post)

Both A4 quattro.
Any input on setup? Settings, stiffness? 20K miles on them.

I've got the sport suspension currently. I'd like to lower the car wothout rubbing the tires. Thanks.

Default

As long as both cars are quattro or both cars are FWD then it is okay. quattro won't fit FWD...

Default Not a good idea...

the 2.8 Springs have a heavier rate than the 1.8... if you install 2.8 stuff on a 1.8T... your front end will sit way too high... look like you are popping a wheelie.

Default I thought they were the same, since Neuspeed only have part numbers for quattro and FWD, 1.8 and 2.8

Part numbers are the same...

SO I am guessing they are the same setup, since they do not have a seperate part number for the 2.8 and the 1.8...

I think it is best to just call them, they know for sure.

Default Neuspeed doesn't make race springs for the 2.8, but most resellers...

sell the springs from the 1.8 for both the 1.8 and 2.8

They will work.

Default I spoke with Neuspeed support directly, and they said the springs are different ...

... for the 2.8 compared to the 1.8T. Coming back to the spring tension.

Default Interesting, they don't list Race springs for the 2.8 on their site.....

I think the springs have the part number printed on them, you may be able to try and match them up and see if they are really 1.8 springs.

No problem as long as you shocks are adjustable in the front
