Default I don't think there is a K04 hybrid

I think you are confused. I believe K04's fit the stock manifold just fine. It's GT25s which don't, and there are GT25 hybrids in K04 housings. But I understand those housings are too restrictive and inhibit performance.

Default not reccomended, 99.5 and up MUST upgrade software, pre DBW can get away with it at the expense of .

performance, safety, etc....

yes the KO4 hybrid will fit, but the it will need CUSTOM software wich will cost more $$$ than its worth

Please search past posts for why K04 Hybrid makes no sense.

Default Sure it makes sense...

...the K04's compressor is pretty inefficient. It is much smarter to put in a Mistu 15 or 16G. The increased efficiency means that less heat is generated during the compression of the air charge. The increased efficiency also means that the compressor wheel needs to spin at lower RPMs. This allows the turbine to be trimmed (clipped). A clipped turbine flows better because there is less material for the exhaust charge to pass through also. To take it a step further, one could get a different turbine which is bigger in diameter and results in better flow characteristics.

Obviously, I have one. It works very well.

Default There is a larger KO-4 out there

The KO-4 that is available in Germany has a much larger compressor housing, inlet size increased to 48mm and a larger compressor wheel than a KO4-15 and bolts right into stock manifold and cat.
