is it worth buying xenon lights, the real ones after market or should i just get the valeo one piece

The chances of you getting a ticket for not having an orange reflector are slim
As long as you have an orange BULB, you should be fine. Just don't put cheesy clear bulbs. You'll get nailed for those.

If cops want to keep young people from congregating, they will stop every car and write all kind of minor tickets like this. In CA if you get 3 of them over some period (10 years?) the cost of the tickets go way up.
I've been given the once over this way by accident because I just happened to be in the area. Luckily I was running stock then. Now I run non-DOT taillights so I have to avoid these situations like the plague.
