Daily Driver? Weekend Cruiser? Track only?

How much is your budget?

Tell us what you want, then we can make suggestions.

Default I plan to use in as a track only car with an occasional weekend cruise.

I would like to only spend around $5,000 or so on parts but might be willing to spend more... As far as HP goal I would like to be between 450-550crank hp.

thanks

Default You R planning 2 much turbo for expectations, If tracking, U need a dry sump

I cant speak to your internals, but make as strong as you can afford. 450 crank doesnt req a gt35r, I will have 450-500wheel on a gt30r, 35r is good to 575wheel and will be too much for your app. Key to keeping it running is to stabilize crank movement at rpm, it gets liquid at 6000 and up unless very stiff, girdle will help. A smallish 30r will be good for everything. I personally would say your target of 5k$ is low, but good luck. I have a baffled oil pan if you need it, I did dry sump.
Have fun and save $$ as you are in race teritory ad there are no guarantees here,
Rod

Default I've been good. The car on the other hand....

been sitting in the garage for over a year.

I started it up a couple months ago, only to have the ignition switch break on me (switch #4)

So, back in the garage it went.

Default 450+HP for 5K?

maybe for something that would last a couple blasts down the 1/4 mile, but throw reliability out the window, I don't think it would last on a track for very long.

You could drop 5K on the short block alone, and it won't gain you any power, just reliability.
