Default (x-post from b5) Weird thing going on with my turbo bolt.

I just recently changed my cat and now the turbo/manifold bolt farthest from the engine keeps coming loose. I have tightend back to the proper torque twice so this third time I just gave it a good twist. Why would this be happening?

does it call for a locking compound? If not torqued to the correct spec it vibrates free.

Default tighten to german torque... "guddentight"

the called out torque is REALLY low for the manifold. I'd recommend just continue torquing until you feel the bolt is snug and then give it "a bit more" something to the level that you dont think you are gonna snap it off....
