Default X-Post : Driveline shudder reduced dramatically - installed Driveline Stabilizer on A4

First of I want to thank Rick (Innovator on the S4 forum), for taking the time to install the product on my car.

I was interested in the Driveline Stabilizer when it came out, and had mentioned to Rick that I'd like to try it on my A4, because I always felt one of the weakest points of the car was the slop in the transmission, especially in low-rpm on/off throttle situations. I hated feeling that little clunk when my hand was on the shifter, as well as the fore/aft movement of it.

All I can say is this condition is more or less gone, and the car feels much more solid when shifting. I'm sure it would help people runnning higher torque even greater, since after all the product was designed for the S4. Honestly, I was in awe of the change it made. The car feels much more solid as a whole, under heavy load or just cruising. It has all the obvious advantages of a product like neuspeed's lower tie bar, except this also mounts to the tranny, thus reducing movement.

I must say I am very, very pleased with this product. I would recommend it to anyone who thinks the feel of the transmission on the A4 is a little sloppy, not to mention gaining the obvious structural improvements over the flimsy OEM tie bar.>

Default Where did you get it?

Does it mount to the undertie bar? What if you have the Neuspeed bar already .. any drilling?

Default simple bolt-on procedure. There's a FAQ on this site:

Default no it replaces the tie bar. See the faq I posted below. It's basically the same, except slightly

different for the A4 (1.8t). The product should be available very soon.

Default The mounting points are different on the A4 transmission.

And I caught the inuendo about the washers, and they will not be needed .

You can add a rubber tranny mount or snubber to the Neuspeed bar.
