have him dremel the bottom part of the front springs to make them slightly round. This way they
won't dig up the perch when you try to raise them. try a 30% rebound setting first - meaning 30% of total turn starting from soft. Set the perches in the middle and adjust later. 1 turn = 1.5mm =~ 1/16 inch so you can set your ride height accordingly
