BT - dealing with an unethical heating contractor.
Summary:
Was quoted for a 90% AFUE gas boiler to replace my old oil boiler.
Contractor installs an 82% AFUE gas boiler, is unresponsive to my complaints.
What Pennsylvania state licensing board can I contact?
I'm also thinking of small claims, letting the local DA know (in case they've received other complaints), and the BBB (which is a paper tiger, but at least it's another black mark).

That would be one option.
The contractor called me back, and promises to take care of things. I'll at least get an outdoor reset installed at his cost, and
maybe some $. We'll see.
His claim is he installed a few of the more efficient ones over the past 2 months, and they've been having problems. He though he was doing me a favor, but it's just the whole non-transparency that pissed me off.

Were you charged for the 92% boiler per the quote?
If you were, then it's a rip and reasons for additional negotiations and refunding of monies to you for the differences. Obvioulsy you wanted the 92% for better economies and green effects.
Best you set up a face-to-face initially for answers and if they don't comply, have an attorney write a letter requiring answers to your questions and a lawsuit beyond....02

This remind me of the heating duct contractor guys that came to my old apartment. I am not joking
with this. I lived with 8 guys, we had a 9 bedroom apartment that needed heat work. The contractors came over one day, the head guy seemed cool, we discussed everything, and told them that we had to dip out for a bit so no one would be in the house.
One of my roommates left their camera on the our living room table. No big deal, they didn't steal it.
But what one of their employees did do was.... take pictures of his ****, no joke. Also, in permanent market they drew penises on some of our walls. When we came, we immediately noticed the 'drawings'. About a day later my roommate stumbled upon the 'photography'.
lol, nevertheless the guys got fired. We got a serious apology, and we got fresh paint on our walls.
That is my heating duct contractor story. This story also took place in Philadephia. Beware!
