pa title info

I'm looking at a car in Pa.But it has a R title,I was told that it means rebuilt or reconstructed.Long shot but does anyone know if that would be the same as a salvage title in maryland?

It's a rebuilt vehicle. ie. one that has been declared a total loss from fire, vandalism, collision, theft or flood
