Default 3 Ball ...

That's what my 9 y/o calls our Tacoma, since it's red with white and black lettering. LOL ... kids.

3 exposure HDR (+/- 2EV) processed and tone mapped in dphdr with final processing in PS CS3.

After shooting that abandoned couch, I turned the camera on my truck for a couple quick snaps before the sun was gone.

Default Any mods on yours?

I've a huge list of to-do's but haven't been comfortable with spending the cash in this economic climate. Hopefully I can do the next major items on the list soon: ARB bull bar with winch &amp; lights and a shell (topper). So far I've lifted it -- OME 885 front springs and N140S dampers with OME Dakar leafs and N182 rear dampers -- and swapped stock rubber and 16" TRD OR wheels for 265/70/17 BFG AT KOs on OE 17" TRD Sport wheels. I also installed a NAV/DVD system (Pioneer AVIC Z2) with XM radio/traffic, rear camera and DVD bypass mod. Other little things done (OE running boards, homelink rearview mirror, etc). Need to get it read for camping/exploring this summer.

Nice shot of yours. That UWA distortion reminds me of a couple shots I took last year. There was a storm moving in and I was trying to catch lightning strikes. Since I only had the 12-24 mounted (was actually shooting something else when the storm approached), I used the Tacoma as a foreground element ... and had to really massage these to overcome the "lean".

Default Oh, and ...

That couch was shot along the side of the road in the desert south of Phoenix (<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/robotography/3303184985/#">see flickr map</a>). Thanks.

Default Meh ...

I was going to mount sliders and may still do so at some point. But the OE running boards offer modest body panel protection and are cheap enough to be disposable (easily replaced) in the event of damage; I won't be doing the hard core stuff that would necessitate sliders ... but there's always a chance things get harry.

The sill protection (sliders) I want offer the functionality and clean aesthetics of the OE running boards and are certified to protect ... but they don't come in a Tacoma short box application (ARB product available for 4Runner and LC, but not Tacoma 5' bed). :-/

I did a number of 3-out-of-5 trails in Colorado last Fall and never encountered rock-to-body or tall breakover point challenges. I recognize it isn't a short wheelbase Jeep and 'wheel it accordingly. ;-)
