Default nicely priced too

speaking of Nikkors, I noticed that prices have jumped 10-15% as expected from all local and online vendors.

But fyi, I see that J&R haven't updated their pricing to reflect Nikon's lens price hike yet. Better order that 14-24/2.8 or whatever it was you were eyeing before they do

Default Yep, I think I'll be getting this one...

Should be ideal for my D90, I was looking at the 50mm f1.8 before, but the 35mm will better suit my need for indoor shooting...

Why does it only say compatible with D40, D40X, and D60?

Default it's compatible with all DX format Nikons, but D40/40x/60 require the -S part of AF-S or

they lose autofocus since they don't have a body-based motor like your D80.

Until this one and the 50mm AF-S prime released at xmas, those cameras didn't have any AF Prime options.

twice the price and much heavier, but the 'dirty thirty' is popular and on my radar as well.
