Default Nice...

Nitro and the shot from across the river are dope. Tough to hoot the action without flash. Looks like the nitro shot had some good rim lighting to get some separation. Was is poached flash or ambient? Either way that was a great spot to be shooting as it really lit the rider well with a clean background. Toughest part of events like these is getting a background you can work with and trying to shoot too wide.

Default Yeah

Events like this especially at night are tough. I had 2 bodys 1 with a 70 200 2.8is and the other with with a 10 22 most of the wide shots I used flash but the long shots are almost all available light. None that I posted were when I caught a someone's strobe, if I did my shots were blown. The shot from the bridge took some effort (long walk) and when I climbed up the 10ft guard fence and got on the bridge supports Im sure people thought I was a jumper.

Default awesome...i walked over to the park that night.

thought about bringing the camera...it was just so damn cold that night!!

i really appreciate these knowing how cold it was that day...not easy to shoot like that.

doubt it got over 16*, and single digits when the sun went down.

Default It was pretty cold.

dummy me I didnt bring any gloves I could shoot in so I was bare knuckles all night(the 70-200 gets really cold!). It was really cold at the top of it. Glad you liked them.
