Default new Pocket Wizards... FlexTT5 and MiniTT1

<a href="http://strobist.blogspot.com/2009/02/pocketwizard-flextt5-and-minitt1-full.html">click</a>

i've never used PW myself, but to me it seems like the biggest updates are TTL shooting like radio poppers, being able to determine sync speeds, and obviously a much more compact design.

price wise it looks like the mini is $199 and the flex is $219. that's actually cheaper than radio poppers! will be interesting to see how they counter.

I'm just looking into some off camera options. Those are great, video shows them off well

Default I like. It seems like they will be offering capability to shoot strobes manually

just not yet. I guess the big push was to get something to market that the competition doesn't do or does differently. If they live up to their announcement, they've succeeded, now let's see what a little more time brings to the table.

Default I'm still trying to make sense of it, but here's the flikr blog I'm reading...

page 33 in the PW manual...

"What Canon features are not available through the ControlTL system at this time? Rear Curtain Sync, FEB, stroboscopic, adjusting flash settings via the camera's menus, individual manual control of slave groups without using Canon's ratio system, FEC set on the flash, and other features not expressly mentioned. These features may be implemented soon so be sure to check www.PocketWizard.com for future firmware updates."<ul><li><a href="http://www.flickr.com/groups/strobist/discuss/72157613869292003/">http://www.flickr.com/groups/strobist/discuss/72157613869292003/</a</li></ul>
