Default Posting Pics

I've posted pic from my phone on here no problem.

I took some pics with my Nikon D40 and when I tried uploading the pics, however, got a failed upload message. Any thoughts on how I can upload the pics properly? For the record, I'm not a tech freak by any means.

I think the jpeg file is too large to upload. Any ideas on how I can make the jpeg file smaller??

You'll need some sort of photo editing software, such as Photoshop. Didn't anything come with your camera for doing general editing?

It probably did, but I never had a need or realized I needed to photoshop pics. I generally "point and shoot" and load them on imac and pics looks good. Ok I'll see what I can do. I also know there's a setting on the camera that will make the pic a smaller file size.

Thanks.

if you don't have a slot for your memory card on your computer, then just use the usb cord that came with the camera. i didn't use any of the software that came with the camera. you shouldn't have to go online to get them to your computer.
the moment you turn your camera on when you use the usb cord your computer will advise you to download the pics to your computer.

I hope this helps.
Thanks. Yes that's what I usually do. But when trying to post the pics I downloaded I can't because I think the file pic is too large. I haven't had a chance but I'm going to see if I can make the pics smaller after they're loaded onto the computer.

Default Just download and install irfanview

Use this and I'm pretty sure you can do a batch resize.
