Default is RED trying to make their cameras look like something out of Terminator?

exactly who are their target market with this DSMC line?
moduls seem like a great idea in theory, but these setups are clearly geared toward the video crowd. i couldn't imagine anyone out still shooting with one of these things.

Default Their target audience is huge! They've revolutionized video cameras. They've basically cut the cost

of high end HD cameras to be accessible to a new audience. The quality is excellent.

Peter Jackson has been trying them out. He said this: "It's pretty exciting, and will have a major impact on indie filming - but we could see no reason why you couldn't use these cameras for any type of movie. I'm seriously considering using RED for The Lovely Bones."

You can read his comments <a href="http://www.reduser.net/forum/showthread.php?t=2753">here</a>.
