Default So I bought this instead of a D40...

I just won it on ebay for $795. Always wanted a medium format film camera. This is a great rangefinder with very sharp lens. Gawd, I hope I remember how to shoot film! Besides, it's much better than a D40...

Default Drum scans of negatives

come out at about 150megapixels. Makes 12mp seem puny.

Default I have a 7II and 43, 80 and 150mm lenses.

Feel free to send any questions. I only use it occasionally but it's an awesome camera.

Default Drum scans are awesome and all but the ongoing costs get ridiculous.

Look into a Nikon 8000, 9000 or Minolta Multi Scan Pro or an Imacon if you can find one cheap enough. They'll all come very close to a real drum scan. If you plan on printing at 20x30 or larger, then you might want to pay for a real drum scan.

Bigger is better...A properly scanned large format picture is intense!
