Well, I sent the Tacoma into hyperspace over the weekend.

This is a single exposure, although I did run it through RAW conversion twice to regain some detail in the NAV screen and maintain interior light levels without effecting the view through the windscreen. Digital blending and normal post all done in CS3; no digital trickery.

I've been wanting to revisit this concept for some time and am happy with the results.

The "classic" version ...

Default Tacoma is way more impressive...

... because it's less intuitive for it to fly so fast

Nicely done.

Default Interesting...

I like the S4 image better as the tighter framing brings more windshield and less interior void. However, the Taco shot brings the side mirror into view and I like that. It would be cool to see if moving the camera forward and shooting it even wider could bring the side mirrors into frame and at the same time remove some of the interior below the windshield.

Default Stan, thread jack (sorry Rob)

Stan, your move from 1Ds MkII to 1Ds MkIII - image quality wise - a huge improvement?

My dilemma - keep my Mk IIn and add a 1Ds Mk II, or just get the 1Ds Mk III.

Don't want to deal with different interface, different batteries, chargers etc, so will either have two Mk II cameras or just one 1Ds Mk III.

I borrowed a 1Ds Mk II from a friend and like the results at ISO 1600 - will the Mk III be significantly better?
