Default went to Griffith Observatory in LA for the first time this evening

Noel, you missed out. Traffic wasn't that bad at all. maybe took us 45 minutes from the westside.

anyway, after looking at these images i think my 70-200 might be front focusing slightly. i brought along my friend who was using my 30d and 17-40. next time i go back i want to use the wide angle lens. the architecture of the observatory is amazing.

nothing special, but C&C always appreciated so i can improve.

a couple variations on the LA 'skyline'

still traffic in every direction even at 9-10 at night

it's pretty hard to stay still for 30 seconds. even moreso when it's cold and windy

they were getting ready to close up shop so we started walking around the backside to get to the car. i set up to take another picture of the skyline from the opposite side and as i turned around i could barely make out what looked to be the hollywood sign. first time i've seen it in person. glad i turned around

Default Some nice stuff there!

I had all my gear ready too! Went through the fun excercise of believing I had lost one of my elinchrom remotes. Hopefully after the 21st I will have more time to do some personal related photography...we should plan a day trip somewhere...Joshua Tree, Santa Barbara...wild flower season is right around the corner!

Default Nice!

Road trip for sure. Short day trip. Side story...buddy of mine calls me this AM to tell me about a chat he had with some dude who was in an RS4. Guy said he loved it, not as much as his R8...but definitley more than the S6 his wife drives. Damn!
